Day Service Facilities
The CAA Day Service Supports are provided to 40 families from five different Service Centre’s across Cork City & County.
- Greenville Campus Carrigtwohill
- Crobally Campus Mogeely
- Douglas Day Service
- Raffeen Day Service
- Model Farm Road Day Service
This service is specifically designed to meet the holistic needs of adults with Autism. The model of the CAA is unique in that it is a ‘seamless’ service whereby there is no separation of residential and day service. This lends itself to consistency and the maintaining of trusting relationships between staff and Service Users. It also leads to better transferability of the skills from the day service setting back to the residential setting.
The emphasis in the day service facility is on daily living skills and promoting socialisation and independence. Activities carried out are varied and include the following: Numeracy and Literacy training, Money Skills training, Comprehension Skills training, Speech and Language training packs, Horticultural activities, Art Therapy, Pottery, Woodwork, Swimming, Horse Riding, Daily Living Skills, Social Integration Skills, Computer Skills, Yoga, Dance, Massage and Community Inclusion programmes.
